The Kramer Club

Yesterday my wife found a cache of old photos. Several of them were of my very first band playing in a venue which I did not recognize. I did recognize my first ever bass and first ever bass amp (Ampeg B15N), however. After a bit of internet research it dawned on me that my first bass was a 1977 Kramer 250B. All I remember from the shopping experience (at the Sound Stage on Blackstone Ave. in Fresno CA) was that the Ric and Fender P-bass were really cool, but somehow I purchased the Kramer. Maybe it was less expensive. The bass in these photos is absolutely identical to the one I had except that my pickguard was white. This bass is for sale at a vintage guitar dealer in Australia. Oh, the memories. :) Except that mine weighed about 13 lbs. Sold it in maybe 1980?

Kramer Club #34 if your interested.

Thanks for the kind offer, but I will have to decline. It doesn't seem appropriate since I don't currently own a Kramer bass and have no plans to purchase another one. I noticed that on the back of the aforementioned band photos my wife found there is a date stamp of October '81. I must have owned that 250B up until the end of 1981. :)

lucked out with the blue to match your other blue bass huh? HELL, if you paid xxx for that you should have asked me if I would sell you the black f3.

I asked the seller of the white f3 if he would take 100 less than the 399.99 he wants since the goof has 4 holes drilled in the body for 2 thumbrests??!!??, and the value is now a lot less, and he just replied with one word:

NO.

It was less than two bills. Almost matches my Forum 3 Color wise. Pity I only know three chords.... :spit:

Ahhh, that White Forum Three that had TWO thumbrest at one time?

I remember when that sold LAST SUMMER.... Believe me, i was watching it.

... unless there are TWO people dumb enough to put TWO thumbrests in their WHITE FORUM THREES.... Please say it isn't so!

IIRC it sold for $250 or so. So now it's worth $150 more?

I see.

No nicks, dings or chips. She's a strong 9 out of 10.

if he gets 400 for a f3 with 4 horrible "in your face" holes in the body, I'm listing my f3 on ebay for 500 AND I'll put it in a Charvel chainsaw case not a one size fits all and free ship it to wherever !! :)

but this is only IF he sells it.

p.s. that one does have a brass nut and the tree AND it looks like it DON'T say forumIII on the tr cover...whats up with that unless the TR had to be adjusted for the 4 holes that were drilled, and he lost it and used a replacement?? :rollno:
