**The LaBella 760FL Deep-Talkin' Flats LOVE Thread**

So far, the 760’s are sounding good on my Yamaha. No issues with the gaps I saw in the windings.

Unfortunately, I have had a somewhat disappointing experience with La Bella. Over the past 10 years, I have had many different types of La Bella Flats on my basses and have had problems with D and G strings buzzing more than once...

I've been trying to use Labella DTF 760FS on my fretless P-bass, but I seem to keep running into quality issues too.

I first had problems with the D & G being "out of control" - a nasal second tone increases in loudness as the note decays:



Then, buying a second set to A/B test them, the new G string sounds "out of tune with itself" - that's the best way I can describe it:



I love the sound of the E and A, but I need working basses - I can't keep playing around like this. So I'm trying out D'Addario Chromes, which so far seem to have very consistent quality control as well as even tone across all the strings.

Read each and every post on this thread in search for my flats and went for FLs . After trying chromes, Dunlops, TI JF344, DTB 760FS, (in that order) I feel like coming home. Now to break them in on my Fender P AmPro2. To pitch in, I think the difference between FS and FL is more than I hoped for in terms of flex and fun (Got my 10.000 h+ on rounds, mostly EB Slinky's 45 - 105). That G string sound chorus effect .....try loose it , take out , lay it on floor for few hours , then reinstall ...
