The like system on TB is really only going to show how much time you spend in OT. I don't think anyone in the more serious subs are going to care.

Within the five days this thread has been around, Likes per post went from ten on the first day to one today, four days later.

This thread is going to go the way of OT posts not counting towards your post count.

Back in the day many people would post one-word posts in nonsense threads to bump their post count. Paul put a stop to that pretty quick.

It's a feature of the forum software that's on by default, and as noted it's a better mechanism than the '+1' posts.
But if it's abused I can pretty much guarantee we'll either turn it off or at least filter out likes from the offending forums.
