I am currently very happy and content to learn and jam along to cover songs. In 2019 I challenged myself to learn a new song every week in order to keep me motivated and had lots of fun doing it!
To answer some of the questions raised in the course of this thread...I work full time and have a family, I own 3 basses; '87 Warwick Streamer, '10 Squier VM70s Jazz and a '14 Ibanez ABG. Play through a Yorkville 400 combo or a Fender Bronco 40. Almost always play standing. :bassist:

You can take my #119, as far as I'm concerned.
being a lone wolf means no clubs :smug:

I feel like the ultimate lone wolf lately, when I read about others who play for HOURS in a single day. I've done that a few times, but it's not the norm for me.

Also when I'm trying to get a grip on how to play something & everyone else thinks it's easy.
We all learn at our own pace, but I'll spend months on something & still can't pull it off 100%.

This one has figuratively kicked my ass:

I'm in the same boat haven't played much in months, in fact, I just sold my amp and cab. It's funny because most people are satisfied with getting a song close enough but I have to get it 100% or I'm upset.

I'm still playing almost daily, but I can't even handle HOURS with my tennis-elbow situation. Although I can play longer than 45 minutes/session now.

Yes the next person in gets your number. I have corrected a lot of tabs but l need them as a starting off point.

I post more here than I play, recently.

Well, whenever the number dealing person comes around, I'll take a number.

Been playing solo only ever since I started playing bass so I think I will fit in here nicely. Maybe it will help liven up this place a bit, too.

You could start a solo "band" project (not to gig) called BAAB (not to be confused with SAAB). :)
