the meaning behind your TB name?

Dub and reggae music are full of the kinds of basslines that made me want to play bass.. I wanted to make a name that somehow reflects the music I love the most..

King Tubby is one of the artists I listen to a lot, so I was thinking about a variation of a name like that.. I thought of King Dubby but then found out there's a King Dubby already out there in the world of reggae (and I still haven't heard much of King Dubby's reggae yet)..

So anyways I thought of "little king dubby" but thought it was too long for a username so I just shortened it to "LKdubby"..

Another variation that I sometimes post on my myspace page is "LtlKingD"..

Yupp, I'm strange, I admit it! :hiding:

I used to be addicted to RPGs and still enjoy them from time to time. I like monsters and specially trolls. When forums became popular I became a troll on the web, hence Webtroll. Actually kinda interesting to read these, here's mine:

Baal = Latin for "Lord"

My nickname for many years was "Rooster," partially because I'm kind of a **** ( <-- another word for "rooster" lol) at times, but mostly because my last name is cox (cocks = roosters). After awhile some people started calling me "Roo" for short sometimes.

so:

Baalroo = Lord Rooster

Mine ... I have used Biohazed for about 6 years now it came abou while i was playing on a on-line game server and needed a handle and between my love of the bio hazard logo and Biohazard being taken i somehow came up with Biohazed ... and its stuck i've used it ever since

8 years ago I was making "beats" for some friends. One of their lyrics said something along the line of "I'm selfblessed." It subcounsiusly moved me. When I officially joined their group that was the first name I chose. Then realized about the lyric. That plus Mr. Pickles was taken on talkbass of course.

That reminded me of something that I had to laugh about.

A guy I knew several years ago really liked the biohazard logo. He thought it was pretty much the coolest looking thing, ever.

So he got a tattoo of it on his upper arm, just below the right deltoid. Shortly thereafter a couple of my friends and I heard about a congressman trying to sponsor a law to require AIDS patients to have a visible tattoo to warn others of their status and therefore limit the likelihood of spreading the disease.

We had him convinced for several days that the law had already gone through and that the officially required 'I have AIDS' tattoo would be a biohazard sign on the right bicep, until he actually asked his doctor. I had pushed the story too far by telling him that the doctors would actually be putting on the tattoos as soon as the patient was diagnosed.

So it was my fault he found out. But it's just as well that he did, because he told me later that he was planning to remove the tattoo with a grinder that weekend if he hadn't found out.

That's a bit farther than any of us had intended for the joke to go.
