Found some old photos on a memory drive. Here's my old blonde Lull V4.... the one that got away. And the custom surf green V4 that it inspired me to buy a year after I dumbly sold it.

These two contradict all the prejudices you might have about the bottom end producing abilities of a lightweight ash/maple single coil jazz. The fralin SC's are my favorite J pickups ever. They snarl if you dig in, but always keep that solid low mid meat that keeps air moving in a two guitar band mix.
