O.K..................newby to the club. I originally owned another MV5 but had to sell it for financial reasons. Now I am the proud owner of a CAR MV5 and could'nt be happier!

Suweet! You gotta let us know how it does! My bass was one of the first pleked and I LOVE it!
Just wanted to share my revelation with my favorite club Bro's... After GAS'in for this bass and that bass, I've decided (which I knew I wanted all along) that I am gonna hold out till I can score another Lull... My credit card is in the bull pen but if I find the right bass/deal it may just get the call. I am hoping to find either an older M5 or a PJ5.
Wish me luck!

Yep, I just bought that V5 from Kevin. Talk about your small world; I was the original owner of it! I bought it new from the Atlanta Bass Gallery back in 2005. I sold it because I figured I didn't need three Lulls. Was I wrong!
Thanks. My M5V has an Audere in it and while I like the combination, it doesn't have the "snap" of my V5. I'm toying with the idea of adding Rotosounds to it for a little bit of "grind". I haven't used Rotos in years as I've been gravitating towards DR strings lately. My PJ5 has LoRiders and my M5V has Marcus Millers on it.
Time to start saving for another one.Just a follow-up on the MV5 I got recently. I've had time to tweek and adjust it to my liking and have done a few gigs with it. All I can say is WOW!! This bass just smokes! I just had a grin on my face all night long. I finally have the tones I want from a really fat and articulate fingerstyle sound...to a wicked pick sound.......to THE funky slap sound. I"m a VERY happy camper!Time to start saving for another one.
I'm with you man! I just love my M5V... And after I added the passive tone control it got even better! Speaking of saving up for another, I think I'm gonna pull the trigger on this M5 I have on hold... Details to follow!
I'm going to take the Barts out of my M5V and put the Duncan SC's back in. I bought another bass that gets a warm, growly, fat sound. Having a more "Fenderish" sound will be nice.![]()
