The most off key playing you ever heard?

yea we all have our moments..especially in a 3pc band and your guitarist somehow is tuned to Dflat and your to D...good thing i didnt have to be on that string more than a few notes because it looks bad and guess who gets the blame for it...the bassist

I think we have all forgotten that exotic afhgani poppy products were a great motivator for these guys. I think live, one take and all at the same time, opiates probably tend to throw the music off kilter a bit. Still like flea's playing, but honestly the nutty slapping was never what madde me think he was talented (once I learned how to play a bit)

A long time ago I happened to catch some late night music show on TV featuring B.B. King and Neal Schon at some blues club in Chicago. They're both ripping on their guitars and Neal steps up for his last solo in the song. He pulls off this blistering lead that would've been truly great if he hadn't been entirely off by one fret - flat or sharp, I don't remember which now. About half way through the solo he realizes that something is wrong, but apparently can't figure out how to fix it, so he steps back out of the spotlight with his head down and finishes it amidst some funny looks from the rest of the band including Mr. King. **** happens even to the best.

The Red Hot Chili Peppers - "Jungle man" live in 1985 during their first European tour supporting George Clinton. I guess the sound says enough here...

Flea was out, but it handled it gracefully and addressed it afterwards if you watch it.

This is ancient history, and may be fixed by now, but the original recording of "Season of the Witch" by Donovan? The bass is flat outta tune. Who ever is playing it is also really at it halfheartedly as well. Like the 5 note line is really taking it's toll on him. those were the days!
