The NBA Playoffs Thread

LOL. I was trying to figure that out. You definition matches quite perfectly! But can't "IBTIROTB" be said about most threads on here though??? :D

:hiding:

Hmm, I can't speak of other threads, but I know Burke, while a homer to the Nth degree, is here year in and year out no matter what the Pistons do in the postseason.

That's dedication.

I just think this Detroit team is funny. 6 straight conference finals and one NBA championship and Jemele Hill wants to call them a dynasty. Not in my opinion.

I never saw refs work so hard to help a team. The Pistons were mauling and mugging Celtics players the entire second half with nearly no calls by the refs.

I know a homer that thinks the refs are makeing up for it today in spades in the first half. The Celts have been to the line 20 times, the Pistons 7. I have watched mugging after mugging occur when Pistons guards drive to the basket. But god forbid someone breathe on Kevin Garnett.:D

Wow, I'm with pretty much everyone that this is going to be a good series. I already said that to win in this one you were going to on the road. It doesn't appear their is a home court advantage in this series. From what I can tell the team that wins the point guard match up wins the game, so far. It was an impressive win considering the Pistons only hit one three pointer.

As far as the striped shirts, I can't remember a Pistons playoff game where Rasheed hasn't been in foul trouble. For all the complaining about Sheeds effort, perhaps he'd look better if the officials would just ONCE give him a good whistle. It's kinda hard to get good numbers when your sitting on the bench in foul trouble.

That game was great! I'm so happy the Lakers won. I wasn't sure they'd hold off the Spurs after Kobe made a couple of silly mistakes in the last minute but they did.

The officiating seemed a little one sided to me. The Spurs spent a LOT of time at the line and the Lakers hardly got a call their way all game. It didn't really matter in the end though.

26-19 in free throw attempts isn't out of line at all for the home team in any NBA game. Particularly when the visitors' main big man (Gasol) doesn't normally draw a ton of fouls.

BTW, I find it funny that you hate the Spurs because you don't like a couple guys on their team, but you'll root for Kobe's Lakers.
