Yep and something about lack of focus.
Detroit looking ahead to Boston will ensure they don't get there.
During TNT's Sunday pre-game show with Kenny Smith, Charles Barkley, Magic Johnson & whoever that legitimate commentator is, someone mentioned that Detroit gets bored too easily; they lose interest and then wind up losing games. They opined that the only way Detroit would sweep anyone this season would be if they came in with the determined and unanimous desire to, as you say, get this one over with. And then they went on to say that it seemed unlikely that Detroit would be able to bring that kind of focus to the early rounds.
Guess they got that right.
The Rockets didn't even show up in Game 1. Better step it up tonight, dudes. Rafer Alston is likely to miss this game though as well.
They certainly didn't bring their "A" game the other night (not that I mind, though...
). If McGrady disappears in the second half they have little chance (Battier's hot shooting, and the Jazz's propensity to yield offensive rebounds seemed to be the only things keeping them in the first game).

Just finished watching Cleveland take game 2 for a 2 to zip series lead over Washington.....damn Labron is good!
Washington has some real attitude though, they're the only team to consistently beat my fav's Boston this season.
Been a C's fan since '87, even watched them the season they won 15 games!
It's so good to see Pierce finally get some help, I was really feeling bad for him these last couple years.

Understatement of the year.
Don't know where to start with the Raptors. In the 1st quarter they were to preoccupied with Howard and completely ignored the 3 point shooters. They slowly built momentum until mid 4th quarter and ran out of gas.
Still looking forward to game 2.
I believe Andre Kirilenko deserves the Oscar for that flop performance he made with one minute left. The ref found his acting superb, at least.

That would mean that the person thinks the Lakers will win the series in 4 games. It is a best of 7 so 4 games are the shortest amount needed to win a series.

I still think it's Detroit and Boston in the east finals. In fact, I think losing game 1 may have been the best thing possible for Detroit.
I'm from Ann Arbor and a Detroit fan, but I'm not sure that loss was as much a wake up call as it was a sign that they like to play hard when they want to. I hate to agree with the sports pundit off the radio, but Detroit does seem to like to turn their game on and off. Sooner or later this habit is going to bite them in the ass, if it hasn't already.
