The newest from Fodera

Man, they are excessively expensive, aint they? Recently heard a Fodera bass on stage, and it was much less than impressive sound wise, which makes one wonder.

What kind of amp was he playing through? What cab? How did he have it EQ'd? I can make any of my basses, including my Foderas, sound like crap. Maybe you and the player don't have the same tone goals. Have you ever played a Fodera?

Exxxxxxxxxxactly. Thanks for stating the obvious before I had to Munji. Love all the Fodera hate posts from folks who have never played one. I have zero regrets about taking the Fodera plunge.

And with the money I saved from buying a Fodera I can buy 37 more. : )

I am guessing i would be smart to cancel the Fodera I have on order and buy 24 Squiers then? Cuz everyone needs 24 or 37 of the same guitar.

Seriously, I own 3 Squires (2 are guitars - Strat and Tele) and gig a Squier bass fairly often. My VM fretless is a nice bass and a good value for under $300.

Having said that, a Fodera and a Squier have nothing in common beyond being made of wood and having 4 (or maybe 5) strings.

Have you played many Foderas? Have you A/Bed a Fodera and a Squier?

Wow, I cannot believe that I did not see this thread sooner!

Yes, GTR Store is an authorized Fodera Dealer and these two instruments were built here at the shop quite some time ago. Vinny and Joey used to build pretty much anything (within reason) that a customer requested and some folks wanted some pretty wild stuff! We now stick to our own models and/or derivations there of...

Kindest regards,

Jason

Well, I'll be damned.
