Having recovered from that peppermint tea sensation in my nose, a question popped up:
Mintglo never has been an official Ric finish, has it? Stumbled over a pic of a guitar, but with a self-made "Mintglo".

According to The Book, Sea Green (2000 - 2001) would be the closest, but there's no listing for Mingle.

Heh, I just noticed that this crazy spell check changed "Mintglo" to "Mingle". What kind of world is this where spell checks aren't Ric-compliant!?!?!?!?
My other 210AV cab got here today, just in time to dial it all in before this weekend's gig. It'll be a perfect outing for it as I bought this MicroVR w/2 of the 210AV's for shows with tiny band holes where the V-4B/2x112AV rig won't fit or isn't needed. Pics at some point...

Try the 2x 210AVs on your V-4B, as well. Might become a nice third rig option, in terms of schlep and tone.
I plan on it. I've seen Jimmy M's rig and want to give that a go at some point. But this weekend it's gotta stack vertically...

Just picked up an Ampeg SVT CL for only $300.
My second Ampeg, and my first all tube SVT. Can't wait until my 410HLF gets here so I can hook it up.

$300??? That's an insanely great price! The blue knobs are quite a nice touch, too.
Man, tell me about it. The guy I bought it from (CL) must have either been desperate for cash or just not realized what he had.
It works and sounds exactly as you'd expect from an SVT. I had to drive a few hours to pick it up but it was definitely a good use of an afternoon. I'm really happy with it.
Regarding the blue knobs, not sure what the deal with those is but it adds some character for sure, lol. I didn't even notice them until I had unloaded the head back at my apartment.
One question for the Ampeg experts here: Does anyone know a good method for cleaning the ring of dust from the fan off of the cloth on the front?

WOW $300..... Wicked buy man. I've cleaned my grill and its a bit of a pain but pretty easy. I was too lazy to type it all out so here it is straight from the mouth of Beans-on-toast via another thread.
If you want to clean it properly, you have to disassemble it. This is how I do it:
Remove the four top screws that hold the preamp in place.
Slide the preamp partially out the front.
Reach in and disconnect the fan cable. There is a molex connector on the end of the cable that connects to the bottom chassis.
The front grille is attached with velcro like tabs. Carefully pull on the top corner of the grill on each side till it pops off.
Remove the grille frame and attached fan assembly.
Remove the fan.
Clean everything.
Inspect the inside of the amp cabinet. Clean it if necessary.

That CL must have been used to play the blues. Very nice condition.
