It came with that. Not sure what it means and looks like its been there a long time so I was going to leave it.
I'm a fan of SciFi, so "Adama" is the name of the captain (Admiral, later on) of the Battlestar Galactica, from the series of the same name. Of course, I have no idea what it means in the context of the amp, but if it were mine, I'd keep it on there.

Sealed 412 and ported 212. The low end punch through the big cab is unreal.
If I have the SVT suite, does that let me into the Official club? ( •᷄ὤ•᷅)？
Here's another SVT owner with a 2x15s, used to had 8x10s lend it to a good friend and never got it back

I don't really know the build/model year, could be late 70s or early 80s or 'Curve Line'?. My dad purchased it new from Manny's NYC, so you guys can imagine how long we have this thing.
Never got play in gig because it is just too much of a hassle for the size, even we have the flight case for the head.
A long time ago we brought it for a service check up on the tubes condition. The tech told us the tubes are good but he recommend us to replace the caps, so we told him go ahead.
This thing only gets turn on like once or twice every three months and may be play it for 15~30 minutes max and that's much about it. The cabinet never got cranked loud because even with a low volume it shook the walls in the house

Hi! Can I join your club? I got this Japanese made Ampeg SVT last weekend. Previous owner had new tubes fitted just last year. It's going to get it's first rehearsal session tomorrow evening. Can't wait!

I found a really clean V4BH on GC's website. The price was fair so I took a chance. It took almost a week to get a working tracking number (they never sent a shipping confirmation email and gave me the wrong number when I called). I took that as a bad omen and sure enough, they'd packed the head on its side, in an oversized box with nothing but what looked like butcher paper. The box had a large hole in its side and the head appears to have taken a good blow on the side that was facing down (right side facing the head). Two cracks, with one being bad enough that its slightly bowed out. And the chassis was so loose that all four bolts took multiple turns to tighten up. I'm not sure whether to send it back or ask for a partial refund. I think I remember this head not having the exact dimensions of the Classic? What's a new box cost (if one is even available)? The also neglected to send the power cable, so that'll be here in a couple days. I could use another but with Christmas I haven't tested it out yet to see if anything broke inside (looks OK on first glance). Guess I'll try it out tomorrow after the festivities.

I moved into a new house and a high priority was to unpack my favorite amps. Can anyone correctly identify all 3?
If it still works and you want to keep it, I would have a conversation with the store manager and demand a partial refund. If not, they have a great return policy. Sometimes the way GC packs gear, it seems like they WANT it to get damaged in transit.
So I plugged it in and had it on 5; not super loud for a V4BH but loud enough to get a little grunt. I immediately heard what sounded like a torn speaker. Any volume past 2 or so and it was there. I know the cabinet is fine but to be sure I plugged in my Road 440B and cranked it up. Sounded great with no fuzzy weirdness going on. Considering there was a big enough shock to crack the cabinet in at least two places, could one or more tubes be toast now as well? I reseated the power tubes but it didn't change anything. Not sure what the specific (electronic) cause of this is, but it certainly won't work as is...
@69'Vette check out fliptops.net for any parts you may need, to include a new head box/case. I've had Bruce to make me a new head case for a SVT-AV before, as well as a new grille, and a 212AV speaker grille. He's very reputable for parts, and repair.

hi Guys, I got an early (converted) 6146 SVT on the bench and am looking (with no success) for an original pilot lamp lens. Would anyone know where I can find one? Would be very grateful for any help on this.
