and Vain is right if you like your CMG neck, the different profile on the 80's model series is even more of heaven in your hands, but none came with fins all dotnecks...lol

ya fender owns them since 2002 10 years already. and thanks for the kudos on the pic of the modelSeries. I have had almost every production MIJ unit they ever made. I'm a lefty, and although I can play them, I use my leftys on stage.
my favorite stage bass is a white 87 model2 modded slightly.

I love the color of the center one - very cool. I just wish I had found out how great Jacksons play sooner.

that's not a charvel with the double-p is a ESP body and a who knows what neck cause he dont stop swinging it long enough to see the sticker and the cameraman isnt cooperating either.

EDIT: here's the body, but I have no clue what neck that is.

I found out what it is. It's an Aria ProII Diamond Series/Rock Device model JPJ-3 circa 1984 or so. Found it right here http://www.talkbass.com/forum/f8/aria-aria-pro-ii-club-306388/index45.html

I really want to find a Kellybass, I have a Kelly guitar and a DK2 (with the flame fretboard, it's awesome) but I just cannot find a Kellybass in Norway

I bought a Kramer for a friend in Sweden, and the sad part was on the original purchase it was a great deal, but by the time shipping and import taxes hit it, it was just overpriced.

Yeah, that's a problem with Scandinavian import taxes.. I could probably find a great deal on a Kellybass somewhere else, but as soon as it comes here It'd be twice the original retail price

Yep Mike made in 2000 and appeared at the 2001 NAMM show and is also featured on the back of the catalog for the same year. I played in at rehearsal last night and was very pleased with the sound at top volume !

yes Sand, I wondered if that pickup arrangement was to mimic the import version since they had 2 soapbars far away from the neck like that one. But man, that green one is the one I would have if #2 it was for sale and #1 if it was a lefty << #1 being a lefty..lol

thanks to another member on TB I just got a reasonably nice condition black CMG. The split shaft pots are all crushed in from someone using the wrong knobs, but if I can spread them back out fine, or I'll just replace them.

so now I have a pair of them
