Quick Question: I'm looking to build a 15/6/1. So for each driver, there is a separate cross over i need to buy or just the midrange and tweeter have seperate cross overs?
For a 15/6/1, there are three separate boards:
- a low-pass for the woofer
- a high-pass for the midrange
- a high-pass for the tweeter

The parts are all available at Speaker Hardware in the fEARful section.

If you look back in the early fEARful threads, you'll find people who built them in their kitchen with minimal tools.

I didn't do my woodwork, because I have no tools and there were no kits at the time.

I have a 3 bedroom flat, and worked on my front porch and livingroom. I later Duratexed upstairs in my attic, and used a laundry basket as a stand to be able to do the edges (face down baffle to basket). I assembled all the crossover stuff either on my coffee table in the livingroom or at my computer desk with the keyboard pushed back. The board for my crossovers came from a piece of scrap wood I stole off the loading dock at work. The only 'power tools' I own are a drill, a hot glue gun and a soldering iron.

Yes... but you need all three boards. The link shows only the tweeter high-pass circuit.

Add this one (which contains the other two boards): [Invalid or Expired Link Removed]

BTW, if you have a soldering iron, they are actually quite simple to build.

I'm buying one soon. I need to repair some cables. If you think it's easy I might take that on as well

.....I'll make up my mind which one when I make a decision on whether or not to go with a tweeter.

I too labored over that decision. I went with the straight 15/6. According to GB, unless you play a lot of slap, you really don't need a tweeter. I don't, and I am pleased as punch with the 15/6 two-way cab. More than enough highs for growl, clank, grind, etc.

I was too busy to think about the crossover and I ordered a pre-built one from one of the authorized builders. It was nice not to have to worry about that part of the build.
