I have a bunch of P-Basses, and have had a "club number" for a long time. But I figured I might as well post a pic of my newest P in this thread. I've already posted it in the 60th Anniversary P thread, but don't think I showed it here.
I had one of these in the Blackguard Blonde but foolishly sold it. Picked this one (Sunburst) up used. Didn't care for the very light maple board on the burst (although it looks awesome on the Blonde). So I had a vintage tint put on the neck and love the result. Great-sounding bass, too...

+1, a vintage style bass deserves vintage style wood finishes. Beautiful.

I'm not sure. The guy who did it for me is a friend of a tech I've been using for nearly 20 years. I know he sprayed it, but I'm not sure of the prep work involved.
My 1973 - original neck, tuners, neck plate, body, thumb rest, '73 pups, pots, knobs.

I'm assuming that my inability to get a photo to post is why I was unable to get a number? I've tried to link an image through both photobucket and flicker and neither has worked. I'd be happy to email you a photo of my bass in exchange for a number. Hope to be able to get one soon.
man that 69 sonic blue would be awesome for my "birth year" bass...I might pursue one of these in the future...so jealous
