so, uhhh, what's this red ring of death thing? I bought a 360 yesterday, just wondering if it's something I need to worry about :confused:

I do not have Halo 3, I picked up Forza 2 and Skate instead...never been much of a shoot-em-up kind of guy. Loving it so far :)

i bought mine at toys r us as my roommate works there and when i picked it up, it had something shaking around in it. i figured it was a booklet or something, but it was the game disc. after i talked to him, he said every single one of the 200 or so that they got in (CE) had the same thing. he also said one of his reps were talking about a recall on them because they don't fit on the center disc holder...

Red Ring of death has plagued many a 360 including my own, one week before it came out :( It's a complete hardware failiure, which is F**** stupid and microsoft needs to get they're act together.

I have been a die-hard halo fan since the second the game was announced wayyyyy back at mac world. I also play quite a bit of live with friends.

So far... I am impressed with Halo 3. I haven't play a lot of xbox live (about 3 hours) but its pretty smooth. It plays much smoother than Halo 2. It seems like there is a lot less BS going on. The guns seem consistent, and balanced. You can get kills with anything. However, the spawn placement is bad. I have been killed a number of times because of the enemy spawning on me, or me spawning into a group of them.

So far so good. I will be playing A LOT this weekend. I really like the new weapons. I have been using the radar jammer and the one handed brute shotgun thingy to great effect.
