The Official MARUSZCZYK CLUB!

Not sure there is still someone giving out numbers.... But number or not, welcome to the club! :)

I already saw and heard you on YT and fb. Good to have a professional among us.

Hey man!

Thanks very much for the warm welcome! :) I'll try to follow the thread regularly, and unless anyone has any objections I'll post other videos as and when we do them!

Just received my new basses today! Parts exchange, let 2 of mine go, received a Serek Midwestern and a Mensinger Cazpar!

Let me tell you, what a fantastic bass this is! When I opened it I thought it was too small, ahah, it's a 30", I only have 34" basses.

But now I'm thinking how the hell will I go back to 34". I can play these ones much easier, faster and cleaner. I am loving it!

And I love the sound! Powerful and modern, great contrast to the more growly vintage tone of the Serek! I don't know what the switch does (series, parallel, and other thing, don't know which position is which) but my favorite is switch all the way down. Powerful and clean!

I will make a proper review and try to record it, but for now, I will just put some pictures here:

I know, I have posted pics of this bass many times before.... But today, the "sofa shot" was once again shown on Maruszczyk's fb page. The bass never was as pale as it looks on that particular pic. Since I have had it for more than 5 years now, I decided to take a new picture a couple of minutes ago. The neck has darkened nicely and the pickguard is now cream colored rather than the original vintage white. Not sure about the body color, but it appears richer to me too.

So have your Maruszczyk basses changed in any way over the years?

The Elwood C checks almost every box for me but I wish 32" scale had a 21 fret option and I could specify fretwire. Anyone know what they use?

Ask Adrian! Many things are possible. My Elwood L 32" 5-string (no longer have it) had 22 frets and smaller fretwire. My Frog also has smaller frets, don't remember the size though. Afaik, they normally use medium jumbo frets.
