Sure !
The preamp is pretty cool. The toneformer preamp is very transparent. It does not color the sound at all, it's exactly what you would want from it. I wanted a special frequency for my bass, so I asked Adrian if he could do that for the mid switch, he said no but he could do it the bass knob .

Yes - the pasiv control when active is really cool :)

Here's the sofa shot for the new one (second one). I should have realised at the start that this would would be addictive!

I'm happy with how it looks and looking forwards to getting to play it in a few days.

Some quick specs for those who are interested:

Elwood 5 - 33in - 16.5mm spacing - poplar top - walnut body - roaste maple neck - katalox fingerboard - delano pickups and preamp - hipshot bridge and tuners

that looks awesome! Do they do pricing for different grades of top woods, or is it all the same option?

I am also thinking about a poplar top, but am hesitant that it would look as good as one like yours

I was exactly the same - poplar burl seems to have a lot of variation - some that suits my taste and others that don't.

Luckily Adrian and the team have a good approach to this in my opinion. Somewhere in the small print of the configurator it mentions that you can pay an additional fee (50 euros), and they will send you a set of pictures of the current top wood pieces that they have in stock for your chosen type of wood. You can then select the exact piece you want and be quite confident about how it will turn out. For me this was well worth the money. You just need to email Adrian or add a note in the comments section when you place the order.

yes, that is very helpful to know! I agree that would be worth the fee.

I was leaning towards going through the US distributor, but I imagine that option could still be communicated in the process.

This might be the best place to ask.

I am contemplating the purchase of a Frog Headless 6 String.

What I am undecided about is the Neck:
-Can anyone here elaborate the use of the optional Carbon rods in the neck?
-I'd prefer a set in neck over neck trough or bolt on, purely because of the looks. Is there a downside to that choice?

I don't get that.
I mean, either you need them or you don't. When your neck warps after a few years, the bass has a severe design flaw. Any quality instrument should last a lifetime, good care provided.

That's why I don't get the fact that they are optional.

Carbon rods in any neck will make it more stable, so you don't have to adjust the truss rod so often. It doesn't mean the neck will become unusable without them. They are optional because they add to the cost and are nice to have but not necessary.
