That is actually good to know, I was just looking at smaller gig bags for another instrument that is shorter scale.

Was the Maruszczyk gig bag that came with your shortscale bass smaller?

The Marusczcyk/Mensinger standard gig bag that came my Elwood L short scale and Cazpar seems like it is for the 30" & 32" short/medium scales but to small for 34" . It has around 43.5" of space in it. My 30"Cazpar is almost 41" total length. something much smaller will probably be needed for your headless Cazpar build. :cool:

Yup @Barticus this looks the same as mine. I'd say the Maruszczyk is slightly taller than the Sire gig bag, which is around 43" internal. The Maruszczyk looks much wider but that's likely due to being a sleeve type bag, versus structured.

The Maruszczyk has bigger and better pockets, whereas the Sire's main benefit is the added structure and neck rest (with a velcro cover to hold it in place). I'll use the former for practices etc, whereas the latter I've bought for a bit more added protection in the back of the van for gigs.

Double button on the butt isn't my favorite, but it's the best bass I've played!

I can't wait to add the reality images next to my 2 mock-ups with the actual wood to see how close they are. Very cool, IMHO there's no other builder that comes to this level of online configuration tools to configure and consistency in final product.

My Elwood C has a matte maple neck and fretboard, I usually clean my Player Jazz (gloss finish) with Dunlop Formula 65 and Dr. Duck's Ax Wax. Are these products also good for a matte neck/fretboard? Sorry for the question, but this is my first bass with a non-highly polished maple fretboard.

I think its safe...Not to sure about the Ax Wax as I have never used it yet. I use to use Warwick Wax on my unfinished neck backs. Dunlop products should be fine for your matte neck & fingerboard. I use the Music Nomad products..I like them. I will spray the Music Nomad Guitar One polish on my Matte maple neck/fingerbord (just a tiny bit on the cleaning cloth) when I am polishing the body and no issues :thumbsup:

My luthier says the Dr. Ducks is safe for any finish. He uses it on everything in his shop. Not sure about the 65 but if you put the Dr Ducks on, let it sit for a few minutes, and then polish really well it should get it nice and clean too.
