I have a black one with the single '50s Duncan pickup. It's in perfect shape except the bridge has some chrome problems where I had to drill the E string hole to fit flats. Why they made the hole so small is beyond me. Anyway, I'm willing to sell if you're interested. We can negotiate price with/ without a hard or soft case. I just don't play it anymore and it should go to someone who will.

So I just bought another bass today..I couldn't pass it up..86' RB 630..I'm addicted to the
super P4 pickups theres something very special about them and the quality of the 80's Ibanez basses
is way beyond anything Fender was putting out in that era..can't wait to start detailing this one...

I've been wanting a MS bass, come to find out I already have one which I thought was LS.
I modded it for my grandson who could care less about bass (he's a drummer and a kid).
You all know I can't leave well enough alone, so it has black tuners now.

That's because the 32" spec is new... The images of the instrument on the official site are actually still 34" scale length (can be calculated from pickup dimensions). The instruments at NAMM were 34", all sites that you could pre-order from listed it as 34".

I noticed that when they arrived at Sweetwater and they put up images of the actual production instruments that the bridge pickup position looked different. Wasn't the pickup, though, it was the bridge position. They changed the description also to match the specs from the Squier site.

I have had one on order with Thomann since September (they still list it as 34") and when I enquired by email, they insisted the production version is 34" scale... I don't see them doing a different spec between regions, though, so I suspect they are all actually medium scale and that the guy from Thomann is just regurgitating the spec they used when creating the listing (all the pictures of actual units being shipped to customers appear to be 32"). I wonder when the change happened and if that was part of the delay for all the Samick-made models...

And I also wonder how those people who have pre-ordered expecting a 34" scale instrument (like myself) will react and how Fender is going to explain it...

The confusion is odd to say the least. Reminds me of the crap shoot that was the launch of the bass breaker series of amps. Phenomenal amps, but the launch was so poor I wonder how they sell.

Anyway, I don't think the reaction will be that bad. If it was a $900 or American made one I could see it creating an uproar. Customers buying MIA are more likely to care/investigate specs, than those buying a $300 Squier. Just saying.

Nice collection you have there! I like the purple color, and have only seen it online. I played a couple Mezzos at GC, and because of the terrible set-up, found them unappealing. Plus, maple fretboards are not my thing. May you enjoy yours!

I looked at your photo again, and wondered if your Mikro has replacement knobs? They look like metal, and a better design than most of what I've seen on Mikros. If they're original, then good find; if they're replacements, then nice upgrade!
