I’m definitely doing that!
Still has the MTD sound. Uni-Pre and Bartolini Dual coil with coil splitting switch. It's perfect for me. So many sounds on tap.

Damn, already selling it? You ended up not liking it or what?MTD Super 6 Bobby Lewis Signature
On my 434, measuring from top of the zero fret;can anyone with a 434/534 tell me what the pickup position measurements are from the zero fret? Curious if they are 60s-ish spacing…
On my 434, measuring from top of the zero fret;
Neck pickup: 27 1/2" top edge, 28 1/4" mid
Bridge pickup: 30 7/18" top edge, 31 5/8" mid
Yes.amazing thank you!
by top edge you mean closest to the neck right?
NGL, was surprised when I saw you were trying these. Not surprised at the result though lol.FYI, since we were talking so much about MTD voicing differences, pickups and preamps recently - I just got in a pair of Original series Bartolini M56C dual coils that I decided right away were not my thing, and am turning right around. They have maybe 15 mins of use on them! These are significantly darker than Classic Bass or the stock MTD variants, so if you're having brightness issues and you'd like more coil switching options, you may be interested:

Been tripping down memory lane, doing the equivalent of online stalking my exes—but for my most memorable basses from my time at Bass San Diego LOL. So I gotta ask: who’s got this beauty?

Awesome! Beautiful—it was a special shop, and I have tons of fond memories from it. Warms me inside hearing about people’s good experiences and basses/gear they’ve kept from BSD.Can‘t help you here, but I bought a 35 yr anniversary model Warwick Thumb from Bass San Diego some years ago, and I still have it.![]()
