The Official Peavey Thread!!!!

I'll play:

Peavey Milestone III, translucent blue, best bass in the world IMO. Combined with a 5-year-old set of Rotosound flatwounds, it's got quite a double bass feel to it. Probably need to update the pickups on it sometime, and it needs a new pickguard (anybody know where I can get one in the UK?)

Peavey Grind NTB6, nice sound to it, more flatwounds, thinking about making the leap to active sometime. Seen me through a lot of gigs, this one has!

Now with pic!

:bassist: I have 2 peavey unity dyna basses - hands down the best bass I've ever played. I got the first one around 1995
transparent red finish still looks great. The second is a bit if a mystery maybe some peavey fan out there could help me out. I got it at a pawn shop maybe 10 years ago - no serial numbers - P/J set up natural KOA look finish - factory gold hardware - but, the battery is not located in a seperate compartment in the center of the bass like all other dynas I've seen, it's got its' own little spot with the other electronics. I am positive it came from the factory like this because it has a cut out specifically for it. The pots and active/passive switch are laid out exactly like my other dyna.
It looked old when I got it - pick/buckle rash - just worn (cool) looking. It has been my main bass every since I bought it. I put an 18v EMG set in it (fatashell) I've played virtually every kind of bass over the last 20 years from an original Tobias to vintage Fenders and I wouldn't trade my 150.00 pawn shop dyna bass for any of em!

Delete if this is a double post, but I couldn't find it on here. Mid-90s GV, nice sound, but something about the way it hangs gives Shorty some problems.

I got a Peavey Millenium 5 BXP bass as a gift from a friend. The neck had a tiny quarter sized crack in the neck. He was throwing it out and I figured Id try to see if I could fix it or modd it to fool around. The crack runs long ways on the neck with the grain. When I got it home I marked small dots on the edges of the craks so I could tel if the crack progressed. Has anyone seen this before? Ive had a few Peaveys and ususlly they are pretty well made. I was considering making it a fretless since I wanted to just swap the neck. But, I cant seem to find a replacement neck for it. Any Ideas or imput???
