The Official Peavey Thread!!!!

Just tell what kind of Peavey amp or Bass you play and also tell what you like about that peavey.......I play a Peavey Grind 4 String Custom and a Peavey BAM 2x10 Combo I really love the tone I get out of my neck through bass its real deep and has a great growl.....My amp I love that because it is real bassy with just the right amount of everything in plus I dont need an effects pedal for it:):ninja: :D :bassist:

Peavey Patriot in mahogany, Peavey ProBass 1000 preamp.

I love my Peavey bass. Vintage USA, for less than the price of foriegn made gear.

It's nice to have a vintage US bass, that I caqn fool with without worry. IE star ground wiring, remove, and replace all pots, and caps. The kind of thing that would horify purists, if done to a vintage F*nder, just makes a great bass better.

my first bass was a peavey. An old one. Maybe you guys can tell me what was the model.
It was a 4 string fretless, one brown pick up. With something that look like a thumb rest on the pick up.
It was natural wood, but i can't remember what kind of wood it was.
It was the same shape as a T-40.

Me second bass was a fondation. Great bass!

I currently own a Salmon (kind of pink) Foundation with a sweet super thin bi-cut maple neck and fingerboard. Used American Peaveys are an incredible value for what they cost. The new USA Cirrus is also an incredible value, the exact same bass with the name of boutique luthier on the headstock would easily be $3,000+.

USA Millennium J/MM is my #1 bass - I first loved the way it felt, especially the neck. As I improved as a player and started to play in a band, I love how the bridge pickup can punch through a busy mix.

USA Millennium Standard P/J is my #2 bass - Same neck except in a 34" scale. I had been looking for a passive bass that could give me a nice P-tone. I was fortunate to jump on this deal back in december when the bass and hard shell case was less than $300 from Musicians Friend.

Basic 112 combo. It is very reliable. I just leave it at church rather than run through our small PA (it is not a big church.)

I have a 1993 US Palaedium, it's got a very nice tone, but the neck is too thin - makes an Ibanez Soundgear feel like a baseball bat.

I've also got a 2002 US Millenium Standard with a P-J pickup configuration. I almost never use the J pickup, I use it as a P-bass.

When I gig, they go through a Peavey MAX 160 head.
