1.5" nut width and 9.5" fingerboard radius make the satin-finish neck totally intuitive to play.

The maple fingerboard is not a separate piece of wood from the neck itself. In 1997, G&L still made bi-cut necks. Thus, the neck and fingerboard are a single piece of quarter-sawn hard maple cut lengthwise down the middle to insert the truss rod, then seamlessly glued back together as one piece of maple.

Apart from the discussions about the quality of Fender instruments from different decades, I think these very early 80s Fender instruments will kind of become the last chronological produced Fender instruments that will enter the "vintage class". Like the iconic instruments from the 60s and 70s, these just have a classic look that reflects the times, when they were build. In this case there are just small details like the massive bridge, the body color, the "gold" hardware and the string-retainer. But it just cries 80s to me. Nice bass.

I usually have no problem with fret markers but that would be my one complaint with the ones on the Bronco necks, those black dots look very cheap IMO.

Those are stickers and I got them from eBay, looks like the store isn't listing anymore there, but there are other quality options.
