I have a white Custom 225 and have owned it for over 3 years. When I ordered mine Reeves was just placing an order for the cabinets and so I got to order a custom color with no additional wait. It has been gigged a lot, and I have had a few issues with it. I can elaborate more if anyone is interested - nothing major, but took the amp down until repairs could be made. As I am an EE I did all of the repair work myself, in contact with Bill at Reeves all the while. They have been great to work with and shipped all needed parts very quickly.

Well, the quad of ElectroHarmonix 88's in my C225 ran reliably for five months until tube number four wonked out last Sunday. I have my order in with a friend for a balanced quad of Sovteks and am hoping to get a decade of service out of them, at least. I can hope. :D

Well, one SVT owner's mishap provided me a free set of tube. He'd gotten a few good months out of them until he accidentally connected to a shorted cabinet, taking out two of his six Groove Tube Sovteks. :eek: I stopped by my buddy's shop, popped them in, checked the bias, had a great time swapping stories, and then he wouldn't let me pay him a cent, he just wanted a hand shake. Good friends (and good techs!) are priceless! :)

I've been grooving on the tones of the Reeves through my JBL while test driving it in the living room tonight. The words fat, rich, and lush spring to mind... ;) :bassist:

I've been playing my Reeves through a Fearless 1212/6 for the last couple of weeks. The combination is a good one. I found earlier that an Ampeg pf500 could not drive this cabinet adequately - it would shut down on thermal overload at only moderately loud shows. No issue with the Reeves, and so far all the musicians that I am working with have commented on the low end - how deep and solid it sounds.

Like most passive amps, it is a bit mid-scooped. Mids can be boosted and treble/bass turned back to get it relatively flat. Doesn't really matter to me - I like the sound and find that it cuts through the mix well. It especially mates well with the Bergantino AE410's that I have, which tend to accent the mids IMO.
