Fender Jazz Bass Special - my first "real" bass. I used this for many gigs, both as my main, and back up.
I've never liked the MIM's much... at least all the one's I've owned. Maybe I'm too used to the Japanese variety. But I do dig the color on that purple fretless. I sold it to some cat who shipped it to someone in Brazil. The blue one, was a stock P, that I threw some upgraded parts on.

USA made 1997 growler. If this had been a 5, I would still own it. The Pau Ferro fingerboard and asymetrical neck was just downright cool! and even with one pick up, the electronics in these - you can get all sorts of sounds.
early 2000's Toby Tobias, Korean made
early 1990's Toby Tobias, Korean made. I purchased this from MF without having ever tried one in 1995, and was my main bass from 1995-2002. Pretty good about $700 new. Old trusty. alas, it got rusty, and I sold it in 02 or 03, I think. Wait, no I think I traded it for a cabinet. the pickups and frets were beat to hell, from all the gigs (and rotosounds).
SX Jaguar Shortscale - I really liked this one, but the headstock dipped, even with the lead weights I got from a model shop and put in the control cavity.
Bought this from someone on here to do a special custom, shiny comic book cover finish, but realized that it was going to be more work than it was worth, I painted it. Then, being broke as I was, sold it for about what I paid for it.
The first parts bass I put together, I think I got the Titan brand body for about $30 (which included shipping). The neck was probably a Mighty Mite. It wasn't actually black, as it appears, it was a really dark green.
The Frank, as I called it.
I spent alot of time, and learned so much putting this together. Found the body on ebay - which was, what I learned later - a copy of a John Paul Jones Alembic. Flamed Cherry Top. But I made some mistakes routing it. The neck was a Warwick Wenge fingerboard I also found on ebay. If I had only decided to put in active electronics, I might have kept it. The action was more high than I liked, even with as many adjustments as I could do.
I dare to say my primary bass is my custom jazz bass (converted squier cv to 62 RI)

My current arsenal: '00 Ibanez EDC705 (top left), '06 Warwick Fortress Rockbass (top right), '01 Ibanez SR800 (middle left), '93 Ibanez SR800 (middle right), '91 Music Man Stingray5 (laying across infront of the SR800s), '07 Fender Jaguar (front stand). '9? Ibanez SR400FL on it's way 
...always wanted a fretless that would be comfortable, and although the SR800 Ibanez are my favorites by far of all the basses I've layed my hands on yet, the korean made ones aren't bad either, the guy I got it from upgraded the pickups to EMGs, so it should sound cool....sorry for the tiny, pic, only had a 2mega pix phone camera on hand, but you can click on the image to zoom. The colors didn't even come out right, the fender most of all, it's supposed to be a hot red color not pink, my phone camera sucks, but i guess it's better than nothing. Ibanez EDC is supposed to be black pewter finish and the Warwick is a burgundy burst. The SR800s are my favorite 4 strings, and the MM is a nice fiver, all 3 strung with D'addario Chromes (flatwound) strings, Fender is strung with Rotosound Jazz77 (monel flatwound) strings. Ibanez still has the original Elixirs strung at the factory from 9 years ago (still sound bright) but are ****** roundwound strings in my opinion, gotta restring and give it a nice set up sometime, and the Warwick has the red label warwick roundwound strings. I normally favor the flats more, but the Warwick just doesn't sound right with flats, it's the only bass I own that i don't like the tone of flatwound strings on, or any other string other than warwick black or red label strings. I'll try to get better pics up, once i get my hands on a normal camera that doesn't dufus the colors.

-1970's Univox "Professional Bass". Strung from TI flats, it sounds great for old R&B gigs.
-Fender Marcus Miller Signature Jazz. My main bass for about 5 years now. I've upgraded the pups to Nordstrand NJ4's and an Aguilar OPB-2 preamp, as well as the tort pickgaurd. Plays and sounds beautiful
-Spector Legend Classic 5 string. Got this on eBay recently. Needed some minor work but plays and sounds great now, especially for $350 shipped.
