Everytime I think I'm GAS free, I find something.
Just yesterday, I was thinking I was completly happy with my gear, went to the 'ol guitar shop, picking up a case of strings as a Xmas present for my best mate, guitarist, "hey Bill, check this out......"
Ugh, major GAS.

An electric upright, my first time on any kind of upright, and I didn't suck, too much.

But of course! It's classy enough for a jazz combo (which I do), and it's badass mofo enough for reggae tours (which I also do). I need a black scrunchie mute though, instead of white ones. Blah.
Exactly, its one of those combos that just looks at home anywhere, from jazz, to reggae, as you said, to metal and rock, and pop too, just looks good.
Yes, a black one would be much better. And Alec, if you get a second, PM me. I dont want to bother you.

I dont know if I posted pics of my P yet.. Im back in love with it. Sure, Im dying to have a super bright jazz bass, but Ill just save like always and buy one. I have become good at saving..
Once I get my first mate P done, of course.
Check out that mute!! Its from a foam paintbrush.. I cut the brush part off, ripped out the support on the inside, and it works like a charm! I couldnt be happier!
And Alec has me needing a hair scrunchie now.. I used to have one, but it broke. Not really needed on a bass with flats and a mute, but it looks cool and has a good vibe.

For sure man, I didn't expect it to look better than black, but it does, by far!
