That's ziricote, otherwise known as Mexican ebony. I really dig it when there's a lot of sapwood in it- this is another ziricote Elrick I used to own- it looked like it was on fire:

Those Elricks are so infinitely cool, Bryan... I really like the wildness of the ziricote, but the calmer and more symmetrical looks of the buckeye burl are stunning as well... I hope to get an Elrick someday, being it a Cort copy or an original. The originals are awesome but way too expensive for me.

Can we see the back of the headstock? I'm curious about that E string machine heads.

Sure. They're very slightly differently spaced. Both are the extended B headstock. It doesn't actually improve B string tension, but the fretted came with it when I bought it used, so I had the fretless made with it when I had it built so they would match (too bad the design changed slightly between them so they didn't really match in the end anyways :D)

Bryan I needed to tell you these two things:

I love your fretted elrick, It's soo good looking and the sound of it to! I wish I had one like this (I say that a lot but that one is definitely in the top 3).

And also, your playing, videos are a great source of inspiration to me, I love them and the way you loop them. Sadly my loops pieces are no where near as good.

So basically this can be summed up as: When I get older I want to be like you!, hehe Just kidding, but I meant the two first comments.

Thanks, man. You're young, so there's tons of time to save for whatever bass you want. And most of my loops suck too- I just don't upload them for the world to hear :D

Her she is in all her glory. I know its just a "squier" but i kinda like it. I am trying to find a black pick guard i'm going to change it all to black. I put in a set of fender mod shop pups what a difference. Here she is
