that isn't the same watson. The one i have, doesn't have a site anymore. It is a $600 all passive bass. Really really thin neck on it though and really light.
and i have put tonnes of lemon oil on that neck. I messed it up with something abrasive once. it is just not shiny anymore.

I know this bass is ugly as sin, and it is a bit stupid to show it in a thread with so many beautiful basses, but it was the best i could afford on the budget i hadIt is by a manufacturer called Stellah and i had it shipped from Ireland over Ebay. It sounds ok i suppose, but i am already looking at replacing it!
Some of the basses on here are so beautiful, especially the wood and tronics one above me
Heh, heh... yea. Badmouthing your own rig on TB is a lot like arguing with your best girl in the bar. There will be plenty of dudes that will be anxious to take her off your hands.

I don't know what kind of brand stellah is but that looks like a refinished jackson kelly to me.
ya it does, but definitely is not, the p-pup is not reversed even though that bridge is a common highmass everyone uses including Jackson...( I sure would love the see the headstock on that thing though )

hell with that much of a model clone, I'm surprised they didn't add the fin inlays like Bently did with all the Series10 copies they made in the 80's....( still got a few of those laying around )

Yeah, I dig the Kelly shape. It just seems so much more elegant than the Explorer or T-Bird shape.
The sound is suprisingly good, there is a bit of buzz when the J pickup is fully turned up, but put them both on max, turn down the J a bit and i get this nice warm punchy sound
plus the neck feels amazing, its slips but just at the right amount for me and it is quite thin overall the bass is good value and if some of you fellas got one and did some modding im sure it would unlock all of the potential it holds 
Tell us a little about the P. How do you like the hipshot? Is it alum. or brass & 3 or 4 screw tie dn.? I love it!
The bridge? I love it! I cant honestly say it was worth the cash, as it didnt change the tone too much, but sustain improved immensely!
And the looks were worth the money. Im an aesthetic guy, for sure. I love it. Its a 3 screw bridge, as it fits the string through body.
I couldnt tell you what its made of! Good question, I usually know this stuff!
I went to a GTG in Cinci the other day, and it showed me Im a P bass player. I loved the other basses, but for who I am and the tone I chase, a P bass or Fender with flats is exactly what I want.

Just found this forum in a roundabout way last night and I'm loving it!
When I have the opportunity to play these days, I use my late '66 Jazz Bass. It's the only bass I own that I'm truly comfortable on.

Maybe this will work.
I am just going to defer to the P BASS NECK ONLY ... It has stamped at end of neck 5MAY69B.5= P BASS,MAY THE MONTH,69 THE YEAR and B the neck width at nut ( 15/8 ) Heres the deal. I have researched the death out of this. It has NO NAME KLUSEN TUNERS...PEARL DOTS on fingerboard...20 FRETS ( this never had frets and although it is cut for frets,it was merely filled in,hence it would be easy to add frets if someone wanted or needed them. ) Fender had a breif period of maple neck fretless basses.
From what one reads,many of these things I mentioned were from earlier P bass necks. One thing was the idea of the stamps at end of neck having above mentioned and not a 6,7 or 8 digit number. It also does not have clay dots and no F on the tuners. This neck has NEVER been touched. All original and you can see the finish is worn off the back of neck.
I am almost 100% positive that this was a neck floating around that they at Fender decided to use after the fact.
Any thoughts. I have a lot of pictures,dont know how many you can post ?
Can anybody tell me how you create a new posting of your own here? I am new to this site and it is nothing like the Steve Hoffman site. There must be someplace that narrows it down to bass and new thread or posting.
