Aria Pro TSB-550 Thor-sound Bass MIJ on 1982.
6 years older than me.
Plays like a dream, it even matched my dog's color.
Got it for $140 as my first bass.
do you think this bass is ok for hard rock/metal?

I was thinking about trading it for a Fender Mim Precision, what do you guys think?

I also use an Acoustic 220 and an Ampeg BSE410H
With Behringer GDI21 (Sansamp GT Clone) and Behringer VD1 (Big Muff Clone)

In my opinion, I wouldn't trade it for a Fender... but then I don't like Fenders...

I think this bass would be great for hard rock and metal dude... I love the look as well.

If you ever decide to sell it, PM me :)

I see some of you noticed Skjold's "420" bass from previous posts in Skjold-thread.
Anyway, I've been playing it actively for almost two years now, it's been really special bass for me.
Neck is incredibly slim and easy to play with after you understand how delicate it is and play accordingly, afaik neck is much lighter than in ordinary Skjolds designs.
preamp/EQ is amazing, combined with Markbass EQ, there is literally no limit for sound one could hope for.
Dynamic range is just amazing, with tube preamp/compressor it's much more manageable when playing live, I have no words to describe this in more detail, it's amazing, touch it gently and it'll give beatiful distinct tones, push it hard and it'll rip your head off with brutality with monster attack.

Wow, nice job on the case, fits perfectly.

What's the schecter like to play?
I was at the LMS trying basses out, this was the last one in stock.
I like the really like the smaller body feel the neck is fast & really enjoyed playing with the eq.
Was able to get a great sound that I wanted from it.

That being said, I also had a 7 band eq on the amp to play around with.

For a beginner on bass, I think it's great.

I haven't played in awhile and just getting things back in order.

Well I only have one
It's an '07 (I think) Squire Frank Bello Jazz
It serves me well it's got pretty good tone but I plan on upgrading the pickups, bridge etc. soon
I want a catchy nickname for it but after 2 and a half years I still can't think of one :/

I'm ordering an fsr standard jazz in a few weeks so I'll get pics of it up when it arives

Here are my two basses:

Maybe I should get a proper Mustang Bass at some point.

If that Musicmaster sounded as good as it looked, it wouldn't be my backup to the Badtz Maru Bass.

Anyway, I'm a little scared of posting on a bass forum because I really find natural woody finishes revolting.

This weekend was one of the rare occasions when I had the entire collection all in one place, figured it was pic-worthy:

That MB-2 is dead sexy. I may have to figure out how to get me one of those.
