To me, it sounded and played better than any
Fender I played.

I screwed up though. If I had got a Fender, it
would be worth $$$ now....

But, it means so much to me, I will never think
about selling it,

Tabdog

Fenders are now part of another universe as far as worth goes. Love um', play um', but commerce once again Fk's the purity of it all. Point is - play what's real to you regardless. peace

Wisely said JIO,

This is a love post.

I love the Fender P. I love the jass.

I love a couple of Gibson basses.

There are too many I would just love
to play.

I just can't afford them. I'm a low
budget guy.

The good news is, I also love two
of the basses I own.

I also love this thread.

I don't know why, but I love to see
other folks gear. It amazes me,

Hi everyone, so here are my beasts (sorry for the quality, these were taken with my mobile phone, maybe i'll do some decent shots someday):

415_3.jpg

Ibanez ATK 305 and ATK 300, wonderful instruments.

My 305 again, next to my DN 500, and my bass rig.

Edit:
And here is my BTB 200

Life is compromise.

I was supposed to get a Squire Jaguar for my birthday. Long story short, money got tight, and I got this instead:

Got it for a Franklin at GC. Brought it home, cleaned it up, it doesn't sound half bad.

I had a Gibson EB0 in about 1975 got from America by a friend - classical guitar type headstock - looked gorgeous sounded pants - and to think I could have asked for a 1975 Fender Jazz. Still might get a Epiphone EB3 for fun. Epiphone are much better guitars than Squier. ftlpope

When I got a 1978 American Fender Jazz sunburst I thought I was god. But I have tried to reproduce it homemade (see above) and the mystique has gone. However, the feel of that beast in your hands and the look of the thing is unbeatable. I have not seen a top price recent model that really impresses me either. ftlpope

SShhhhhhhhwwweeeeeeeet!!

oooooooo..man. Hollowbody love. That Yammy looks fine. What model is it? Is that a BEX?

eh.. but I dont like the piezo bridge. Well nicely done anyway. Good on ya then. ;)

First bass was an Ibanez GSR200FM, great beginner bass and I don't think you'll find a sexier bass for $250. It's got D'addario halfrounds on it.

Then this November I wanted to upgrade to a decent bass, didn't have the funds together for the basses I was looking at ($600-$800 range. The Schecter Stiletto line was looking nice). I decided to do a little window shopping on ebay, seeing as I would probably be getting a new bass no time in the near future, I was just looking. Then I saw a Stiletto Elite 5 for $450 (normally an $800 bass). Not only that, but it was a quality control model from some factory (thus the price, since it had been tested for quality and had two unnoticeable scratches on the back, it wasn't "new") and had a different, WAY BETTER LOOKING finish than the normal Schecter Stiletto Elites. And it was that price on Buy It Now, so fate said that this was my bass, and I got it! Love this instrument. Pretty cool to have a "unique" bass for $450 right?

Those were some of the ebay pictures, I should probably take my own in higher quality but I'm lazy.
