Being my first post here... Hi, I'm Adam and I should introduce my basses.

I've got:

I can't call this a "New Bass Day" but maybe a "New Body Day". 1989 G & L SB-2 body, off Classifieds, married forever to my 1983 SB-2 neck. I have a thing for black crinkle...

Part of my home made collection, thanks to TB for the link to the decal guy! At 6lb 6oz, a relatively light Fecker. Engelmann spruce body, curly maple neck with recycled Kay upright brazilian rosewood 32" scale fretboard with turquoise dots and pearl 3/16" side dots.

At 11lb 3oz, this is one heavy Fecker. Douglas Fir body, birdseye maple neck, brazilian board with 32"scale, inspired by the marshall stack guitar in Spinal Tap II. Trying to figure out how to make a bass amp that looks like a bass...

Thanks DH. That's about the extent I can go to - slap a neck on a body when they fit together.

This bass sounds huge.

Now, the E string buzz - superglue and nut filings maybe... The TI Jazz string set has a thinner E than what the nut is cut for so the open E buzzes. No biggie.

EDIT: Yes, the superglue/nut fuzz mixture works perfectly!

More fresh fruit- the 6lb 5oz "Bite Me", engelmann spruce body, $20 allparts reject neck, knife straphanger for balance, just dont try to take on board the flight......

Inspired by a 40lb 7 string bass with enough controls to land an errant space shuttle, the 6lb 3oz 'Less' bass- engelmann spruce body, birdseye maple neck, 3 strings (not sure what the 3rd string is used for in the blues genre) 9 frets, no high notes allowed, miller high life quart cap volume control knob:

My lightest bass at 5lb 4oz, the body from a Kay truetone ($69 in the 1961 jc penney catalog), the pickup rewound for bass by Curtis Novak, made the 32" scale replacement neck from hard maple with a birdseye maple fretboard salvaged from an old bedframe, worth at least $79 now......
