My initial reaction to this is dang you could sell them all and get one USA Sadowsky. But I see now that you’ve got all sound covered. That’s cool. Pretty collection too.
I just scored this Made In Japan (By FujiGen 93-94) Squier Precision for $350 USD. Pick it up in a few days. All original (according to the seller). Not sure about the colour though? Maybe a refin?
Color might be original but the pickguard sure isn't
Yeah i was informed the colour is original - Fiesta Red. No idea on the pickguard. But it's had that pickguard on for the last 15 years according to the previous owner that had it and that's how he bought it, so who knows.

The bridge and pickup covers appear to have been drilled after purchase. As was mentioned above, the gold pickguard is not original but the finish is, as is most of the hardware. The original bass does not appear to have come with those covers.

I personally prefer the anodized gold guard over the cheap plastic cream one that was originally included. It's a great deal for $350. That bass today would have a Fender logo slapped onto it along with a price tag of >$1000.

Yes, the one you posted looks pretty similar. And I agree, the anodized gold pickguard does suit it. I searched all 1993 online and they all have the pickup cover holes like the one you showed, has screw holes also. So, I think they came with the pickup cover but not the bridge cover?
The guy I bought it from here in New Zealand, said he bought it over 15 years ago & how we see it in the pictures, is how he bought it. I think it looks pretty cool & I'm looking forward to trying it out when it's in my hands in a few days. I might even get my local luthier to strip it down and inspect it.

Definitely seems legit to me. Those basses seem to have made the rounds in East Asia/Oceania.

Found this 1990 Ibanez EXB404, secondhand, for a very good price.
White finish has turned a little off-white, and the electronics hiss a bit, but, apart from that, this bass is as new.
Plays very fast and smooth, and weighs next to nothing. The Gotoh tuners work fine, strings need to be replaced though.
Previous owner bought it in the early 1990's, but it has been hanging on the wall for over a decade.

I’ve recently been enamored with my newly acquired Sire V5-24 Fretless. I put a John East J Tone pre in it, and it’s keeping all my other basses on the wall. I just did a 3 set gig with it this past Sunday and I could not get the smile off my face. I was good before I swapped the pre in, now it’s just fantastic. 8lbs 6oz, very comfy, and the tone is what Ive been looking for, for about two years.
That headstock inspires me to play some high speed heavy rock…………..……

A 24 fretless bound J roasted neck!
@pb9717 The J-Tone is a great Preamp for the V5. No hacking at the bass, and the active/passive function of the pre is great for the V5 pickups. I fitted one a while ago in my standard V5 and its been great.
