I married the perfect girl , she has no idea how many basses I have and doesn't care , she just says "That's pretty" when I take one out of the closet

Whoo ! oh man I'm gonna have to move a lot of basses out of the way first ! That closet won't even close eitherlol careful buddy, gonna have to "come outta the closet" eventually!
...even if its not THAT closet...
Oooooo I was just looking at Dukes-n-aliens for a short scale headless travel bass...
Sweet hot rodded Duke !
The stock Pickups in these are pretty lame , IMO. The EMG 35TW w/ Push-Pull pot makes a lot of difference and adds some useful tonal possibilities.
I used a Duke neck to make my first 5 string w/ low B and played it exclusively throughout the 90's. I cut/routed a piece of oak for a body, machined a Bridge and Nut, then settled on an EMG J. It was very unique and played amazingly well. I played and purchased a Cirrus 5 and the Duke quickly became obsolete.

Way too heavy like a boat anchor. Lol just kidding. Nice wood grain.
