A used ray came up for sale here in Oz, so I bought it. Removed the pick guard for some Joe Dart sig model vibes.
Does all the noises I wanted the ray to do, I’ve lusted after one of these for 20 odd years, finally got one!
Came with the OHSC, very happy with the purchase.
Just fitted a set of chromes (pic was taken before), and now it is nailing the Stingray tone I wanted.

How do the necks compare of the Modulus & Status? I've only owned Zon's and now a Modulus VJ (with the Chechen fingerboard). I always wanted to try a Status. Modulus looks awesome btw.My trio of killers... Just received the Status today... Couldn't be happier!

Nice! What make/model is the headless?

That's terrific and thank you! I didn't get a choice of finish for the Modulus neck as I bought the instrument used - but so far, I can only say that I love the neck on it & the EMG's. Thanks for sharing info on the Status basses as well. At one time, I almost bought a new standalone neck from Status for my J-bass. The reason I was even in that situation is because I paid in full for a Modulus neck (around 2009 or 2010?) but that's when the problem at Modulus reached an apex so the shop I bought the Modulus neck from issued me a refund. Status's always intrigued me though as I am a fan of graphite. Thanks! Your Modulus looks great also. I grade my Modulus' neck as pure perfection. Very slim and fast. Helps that I chose the satin finish option. It's by far the best neck I ever played.
As for the Status, I chose the 39mm nut width option (standard is the Pbass-like 42.5mm), as I've always been a "J Neck" type of guy. It's great also, though I little bit thicker than the Modulus and Ibanez. I could have opted for a satin finish also, but I had heard Status' standard finish is a more than satisfactory... I can confirm that it is. So they're just a bit different, with the Modulus a little thinner. And Rob Green from Status builds exceptionally high quality instruments, can't ask for better.
Speaking of the latter, the Ibanez's neck is the smallest I've ever played on (feels even thinner than the Modulus). It's awesome if you're into that. Plus the Wenge wood makes it feel like butter.

The bass gets a lot of use Especially in acoustic situations and in church. Play it through an acoustic image Coda^^^...more about the Mouse!
