The official "Show your basses" thread part 19!

:D
Is that a giant jingle-stick using bottle caps in the background?

It’s called a ‘lagerphone’.

’lager’ as in beer bottle caps...’phone’ as in...you know, phones before they were really cameras and computers.

It’s an Aussie thing.

I saw and heard one over there, and came home and built my own out of a broomstick and a bit of baseboard...and a splash of paint.

It raises hell! :roflmao:

Good eye!
Thanks for asking!

The beauty on the left came from WePawn, about a decade ago...($65) :smug:

The Mikro came to live with us last Spring. It can make some sounds none of my other bass guitars can make. :)

Bottom line - this is what it is all about. Regardless of brand or perceived "worth" based on cost... a bass (any bass) can make some sounds none of (my) other bass guitars can make. Cut through to the essence - and make your bass (whatever it is) sing. :bassist:

I let go of some basses this week and added some. I added a new Fender Professional P bass with a Rosewood board and a Fender Ultra Jazz with the Texas Tea paint job!
Both are great basses!

I really dig the Ultra Jazz with the Texas Tea finish.

And, I have a framed Star Wars poster in my music room as well.

^^^Well, it’s real good to see you showing respect for your Stuff.
These are our tools of the trade, but IMHO, each is a work of Art as well.

I sit up straight when I read the word ‘MESA’... ;)

...feel like typing about the last two on the right...the Brian May-looking guitar on the same wall...the two on the floor?

That’s a Great yellow finish!

I'm surprised to find I've never posted in this thread. I lack the great collections that some of you have, but I do have one truly wonderful bass, which is all I really need (and I do have a couple of backups).
@scottyd beautiful stuff, man. I hope your health allows you to play and enjoy them.

I really need to take some good pictures of my lovely Zon, but these will have to suffice.
