My trio is complete!!! :hyper: :bassist: :hyper:
Just got my 65 P bass from a major overhaul.
First was a Nitro-cellulose refinish in Candy Apple Red.
Then an unscheduled rewire and refret.

On top is my 2010-2011 American Standard P bass.
In the middle is my Warmoth Gecko, with Lakland/Hanson Chisonic soapbars.
Bottom is my 1965 Fender Precision. Neck date is Sept 1965

That is a very long and colorful story! I got hold of that bass some ten years ago and never took it to restoration. Some couple of years a go I decided to restore it and took it to my trusted axe man (Charles Busuttill) of BandAid Music. It happened that another regular customer of his was the original owner who bought the bass in the early seventies. At some point he sold it on. The bass ended up in an attic and the attic caught fire! The bass was saved in time but the heat left its mark on the finish! Scrathplate has now been replaced but the rest is all original including electronics. In fantastic working order (even though im not that comfy playing 3/4 scale basses.

A Music Man Classic, a customized Ernie Ball 3 band EQ with a Status Graphite neck and a Basslines alnico pickup, a Sterling Ray 34' and a Frankenstein fretless that is a 65 P bass neck, hipshot tuners, Bartolini pickups and preamp.
