Long time listener, first time caller. I thought a good first post would be my bass arsenal which I'm quite proud of after years of buying/trading/selling/soul searching. I'll post my amp and pedal board on here too eventually.

-Fender '51 clone. Unknown Squier model updated with SD Antiquity Pickup, Fender '51 style bridge, bakelite pickguard, upgraded wiring & pots, custom white paint job w/ matching headstock. My only Squier ever owned and the neck is pretty impressive. My only passive bass.
-Epiphone EB-0 heavy mod. Guild Bi-Sonic Pickups, Noll preamp, Hipshot tuners and bridge, matte paint.
-Musicman/Jazz Fretless. Received the neck and body on a trade and decided to make something cool (to me...). Lace Alumitone jazz neck pickup, original Music Man bridge pickup, Noll preamp, Music Man tuners, Babicz Bridge, Marcus Miller pickguard, olive drab paint.
Pretty nice mix of different tones and pickup combinations. I like to have a wide variety for different moods. I feel like this is far too many basses though. And I still want to get a 5 string and have my eye on a Gretsch Starfire II which I really don't need but they are gorgeous.
Mostly I play the G&L in my band and the P-Bass for at home practice and as a back-up for gigs. I use the Taylor for travel/camping/composing. The EB-0 was the result of me never having had or even tried a short scale bass. And while it is fun to play, when plucking with fingers it feels a little cramped with the arm position. Still get it out for some jams though. The band loves it. I play 50/50 with pick/fingers so this one is still great for some heavy picking. The MM/Jazz is a new build so I'm still tweaking it but so far it is a blast. Didn't realize how much I missed the fretless feel and sound, glad I made the trade for the parts. The '51 doesn't get too much play sadly; I've always loved the look of the '51 so I built it mostly for looks but it will have a place when I need a nice passive raw thump.
