Why can't I just have 2 basses (1 Fretted and 1 Fretless)

Yeah I always thought that. Then I remember Greg Ridley, bass player for Humble Pie, saw them in the beginning with Peter Frampton and then at the end.
Then I saw Greg with his band right before he died - same P bass through out. He was my hero.
Right now I only/mainly play only 2 of them. The fretted jazz and the Rob Allen - both with smaller necks that helps my left hand pain. Actually I will be playing the Peavey for an electric fretless - it has a jazz profile neck and it is the only neck with a covered board with epoxy.
Who knows maybe back to 2 maybe up to who knows.

I was perfectly happy with one for several years. But then deals too good to pass up on a VP and a white CP came along... (All Thunderbirds.) They each have different missions. So long as nothing like a Dan Armstrong plexi or old Hagstrom comes along at a steal, I'm safe at three.

With this bass - I would not limit the amount. It punches 2 tickets for me - early 50's style and orange.

They did a KILLER job, with a beautiful piece of flamed maple!
Nice - like the Sambora-style star inlays
By the way - also got some J-style basses...
