Oh that Holo finish gets me. Every.Single.Time.
Kinda wish I didn't let it go, I liked looking at it more than playing it lol which two years ago was unacceptable! (plus I was going through a nasty breakup/living situation. Thank god I'm out of that)

I really feel sorry for you. All of these basses are awesome. How about the weight relieved Euro LTs?I tried liking Spectors. I used to own a couple but my arms can't get adjusted to their 35" scale..

EDIT: I will admit the only Spector I actually liked out of the photos was the Euro 5LX. The tone of that bass was magical, something I'd never thought I can let go but my shoulder said otherwise LOL
I am GASing for a Euro 4 LX TW.
I can’t cope with 5 strings and want to have these EMG humbuckers.
I briefly tested the LT out at NAMM 2020 but can’t recall since I was all over the place that year lol
Interesting you’ve asked about the TW! I think I’ve owned one briefly and I actually enjoyed it. The push/pull function is very versatile. I believe it still deals with the same fate of every Spector for me is the further reach where the 2nd and 3rd fret on the E string live. It’s an uncomfortable feel, reminds me of a Steinberger L series.

I like the Steve Harris Signature one... something about that blue is just... soothing. And the mirror pickguard makes it pop!
It's a beauty, I've had it for 20 years and love it.
I'm finding it ever so hard to put this beast of a bass down at night and wake up early to play it before work. It's ruining my life 91 Japanese Precision neck on a 72 body. Well aged, naturally reliced. Every Friday, Saturday and few Sundays even, I gig and plug her into my Aguilar TH700. Pure joy. Fender flatwound strings I further polished with wet and dry 2000 and played for at least 5-6 years on my Jazz Bass. Since I bought this baby I've sold few of my Jazz basses and some ended up under the bed in their cases. P bass rocks!

This is a 2016 Ibanez SR30TH411-NNF Limited Edition. There is a very faint "S" stamped into the back of the headstock. Five piece jatoba/bubinga bolt-on neck, rosewood fingerboard, curly ash body, 3-band EQ with three-position mid frequency switch, 34” scale, 12” radius. I bought Bartolini Mark 4 replacement pickups but haven't bothered to install them yet. The bass cost $515 shipped from an eBay seller, plus $232 for the Bartolini pickups brings the price tag up to $747 with a cheap Ibanez gig bag. 6 pounds 15.5 ounces with strings and a battery. XL160 Balanced Tension 0.050” – 0.120” strings sometimes tuned to DGCF, if the music is not too complicated!
They ship with a plastic truss rod cover that is supposed to allow you to get at the rod without removing the cover. It broke right away. I will make a fancy replacement some day. It's not that important to me.
That's a deep, sturdy neck joint. It is tight. Ibanez is a lot more interested in progress than tradition.

I changed the knobs.
This is a fine player, and it sounds excellent. The fretwork was not as refined as the more expensive models, but that was easily remedied. Overall a well designed and executed instrument that pleases me greatly! When I die, some music student at the local junior high school is going to get a very good bass!

That green one is positively stunning!
It was a custom paint job I believe from an original owner. He ended up covering the serial so it made the bass harder to sell
Even pointing the wrong way that's a pile of cool.
That green Spector makes me feel like a kid again , going into a fine store and seeing something like that was the spark that started a blaze . That is a beautiful instrument .

Last month I drove to northern Indiana to purchase my holy grail of bass guitars. And here it is...
A 1981 Rickenbacker 4080/6 in creamy white with black pickguards. It's the same kind that Geddy Lee would use live for A Passage to Bangkok. I got this sick custom hard shell travel case with it (complete with Starman decal) you can see in the background.

He made the purchase nice and easy. She's in a good home, just like she was before. Once I get a recording setup together I'll post some videos and show you all how this thing growls. It's a monster.

Despite the Fender being #1 for so long
The G&Ls are kind of "home" to me.
Something about the tone and feel is "it" for me.
The Ric is a hard left turn, but a really cool bass.
