The official "Show your basses" thread part 19!

It's seriously cool. One of those "Man, I wish I would have thought of that...or just had that." ones. I shouldn't think that, I'm blessed, but man...

After owning almost a dozen other basses in the past few years to see what worked best for me tonally & what I’d bond with comfort-wise for the long term, I’ve finally settled on these 5. Now I can hopefully take a long rest from G.A.S.

Fender Mod Shop Precision - Sonic Blue, with Pure Vintage 63 p/u & roasted maple neck

Sandberg TM4 Nighthawk, Matte Black

Fender American Original ‘60s Precision, Lake Placid Blue

Fender JMJ Road Worn Mustang, Aged Daphne Blue

Squier Affinity Jazz, Burgundy Mist Metallic

Fixed up this one, which lay apart for quite a while.

Yeah, this started out as a guitar, one of my earliest self-made bodies actually. It has no frets, a 25.5 scale length, the bridge from either an old Guild or an old Hagstrom and from today on; a DiMarzio Air Norton blade humbucker, which sounds really good.

This thing is a heap of fun, I can do Jaco type of harmonics and slides without dislocating my fingers on this.

A guitar to bass conversion! Huzzah!
