Nice sunny day here in ks. Snapped a pic of the 72 P. Just got its neck untwisted thanks to warpedneck.com. Last day in the sunshine before it goes to be refretted. I'm thinking of putting stainless frets in.

If the frets can't be dressed and you need new ones, then I would definitely go with stainless steel.

As of today I'm down to three. Having less basses is actually a relief. More than 4 stresses me out.

I posted all these elsewhere but here is the lineup at the metron house of horrors. Final? I dunno. I hope so.

NOBD, It was a toss up between this 1979 Greco GOB-900, or a showroom condition Yamaha TRBX 504 for the same price.
Both have the passive/active option but the old, beat up Greco won. This was a closet queen for a long time and someone's gigging bass prior, judging by the condition. I am actually happy it isn't pristine, as I will probably modify the controls to separate volume/tone controls and the phase option is being removed. No buyer's regret on this one though...

I was so confused for a sec... looks like you had a 4+1 tuning set up on the Jazz so I was wondering where the 5th string was?!?!?!?

...then I realized that's the doorknob behind it. LOL
