Some one asked me to post this as there doesn't seem to be too many around. It's an early model Olivo, ser#13 actually, so it was made before they became massively ornate. As you can see it's loaded with active Bartalonis, Grovers,and the famed Badass. It's neck thru with a 3 piece neck 5 piece body.
How's it play and sound you ask? Like butter, the neck is startlingly fast considering it's overall size, as for sound, oh you'll know it's there alright solid, bright and punchy, and yet surprisingly subtle should the need arise.
I found it in the rental section of the local store, long before anyone had a clue what these were, or what they're worth. So for the low low price of $400 it was mine. I've only seen one other, and it was hanging in a pawn shop for about $350. Ser#9, and why do I remember all this? I was talked out of buying it when I owed some back rent at the studio. D'oh

Both 66's. I think the newly purchased one is darker from more bar funk. Even the dots have yellowed. I tried to adjust the pickup height today, but noticed the pickguard has shrunk considerably and has bound itself to the pickup. A good thing, imo, because now I know it's original!
Nobody did! You should have seen my family when I was lining them all up, lol!

what are these? the one on the left looks killer.
Those are both Hagstroms.... these models were introduced last year and nobody seems to know anything about them, much less carry them in stock.

I picked them up from ebay and did a lot of work on the black one. The flamed top bass on the right is still completely stock, those are Hagstrom "H rail" pickups (as they call them)
The black one I completely gutted the electronics and replaced with 2 Basslines and a Bart 3band NTMB pre. I had to do a good amount of routing under the pickguard to fit the preamp, I expect the other bass to go smoother as it has a control cavity in the back to work with. Both of them play and sound killer.

yup its just wired straight in, my other basses are so complicated with so many knobs and option i can never be happy, now i just have plug and play
