yeah, not to be snide, but it's amazing what you can do with a decent job, or, if necessary, two, especially if you have solid priorities.

if you want to have a career as a musician, that kind of financial planning (i.e. figuring out how to make the kind of money you need to get the kind of gear/equipment you want) is essential - eventually instead of gear you'll need to do the same thing except to hire folks to help out, whether it be in the recording process, or the live performance aspect.

besides, you'd be amazed at how much gear you can buy if you get a decent job and stick to a budget. for most of the time that i put together my collection (and my recording studio, which isn't as glamourous but was just as expensive) i was making less than $40 k a year, and had a mortgage to take care of too.

Well being 13 I can't get a job, but I'm going to ask to intern at Fullers vintage guitar (http://www.fullersguitar.com/) or West end bike shop ([Invalid or Expired Link Removed]) So they could see how well I work and offer me a job when I'm 15 or 16.

And as for the bike shop... there are 3 main things in my life
1) School (gotta get smartest than them other guys)
2)Bass (self explanatory)
3)Bike (I hope to ride in the MS-150 [Invalid or Expired Link Removed])

And I do have a good bike and not some BMX crap... here she is Link Removed, can't find her but she is on there some where!

And as jordasch said saving money... I have bout $400 from all of those things, 400 is alot just not enough!

I do cut lawns but most people around here are kinda hurtin' so they cut their own yards... but this one old guy who lives by us goes outta town and he pays me to feed his cat, like 40 dollars a week I'd wish he would adopt me!!! LOL

I suppose as im the new guy i oughta introduce my ladies, but we'll start with the horny rabid dinosaur...

Left: 'Rex' - my horny 2003 MiM Precision, black with rosewood, soon to be set up properly..

Middle: 'Ruby' - my 1979 Squier Stratocaster with SD 'pups and stacked HB in bridge, with coil tape and phase switch!

Right: 'Roxxanne' - my Fender Marcus Miller Jazz, i absolutely love this bass!

Left: 'Red' - My Epiphone EB3, not the best bass on the planet, but still gets lots of TLC, it just doesnt leave my music room

Right: My friend's Yamaha RBJ270 i borrowed before i bought the Precision as a backup for the MM Jazz. Nice bass, gone back now though!

and just to finish up on.. Rosie my 2004 TC90 Tele-thing
