So nice! Which pickups did you go with?
Whatever he normally puts in them, hard to get anyone to make a custom spaced 7 string set.... now that I have the pickup covers though that are custom made, If i don't like them hopefully i can get someone else to make me some custom ones.... who knows, i tend to be able to find lots of sounds out of whatever i pickup... so it should be good. i mainly gig with my Brubaker 5 string jazz, then i play a 4 string fender jazz and p bass for studio, and this thing is gonna be for making a bunch of crazy music.

Hey dear Swan Bass lovers!
I have a question regarding the Lake Pickups as I can't seem to find a demo of their PJ pickup configuration...
Do these PJs have more of a modern EMG-ish sound or are they more traditional?
I'm looking for a bright sounding (Fodera-esque) sound, is that what I'd get if I ordered my bass with PJs or would I need another configuration?
Thank you in advance!

I sent my Swan for a setup this week at a co-op where there are about a dozen luthiers. The guys there were blown away—said they'd never seen such a well-built short-scale bass. They spent some time analyzing it, trying to figure out how Christian and his team pulled it off. 😄
Love it!!!
