The Official Swan Custom Basses Thread

I tried a Fender Mustang the other day and it had the same issue on the 15th fret of the E string.
I just tried my daughter's Fender mustang bass it's a PJ.

The weather's changing here in the mountains so I did a quick trust rod adjustment with a feeler gauge .012 at the 8th fret with a capo on the one and pressing down on the last fret.

And I did not have any phasing issues.

Mine is 5/8", IIRC. I tried using the one included with the bass, but it's cheap and slightly bigger than the truss rod's. Once I finally got it in, I couldn't get it out and when I finally did I chipped the bass around the hole :(

You can always message Christian on Instagram. He's very responsive -- any time of day, any day of the week.
Thanks much for this! I reached out to Christian to confirm. Sadly I found the truss pocket a bit too short to comfortably use a basic Allen wrench, so looking at a ball-end option

Your/This build is almost exactly like mine only I will have a mahogany back, and 7 strings, with an ebony fretboard and an abalone swam symbol. supposedly they start on mine next week. When they started on yours what was the build time?

I don’t know how long it took to build from start to finish (I didn’t ask to be notified as to when they started building mine), but it was ready about 2 months later than the original ETA.

The phasing on the E string is much more subtle than the one on the B. It was also subtle on the Mustang (can't recall if it was a P or a PJ). I wonder if higher strings help. My Swan was ~ .010 at the 8th fret if not lower. The Mustang at the store was definitely setup higher.

I recently got this bass in trade and love everything about it with the exception of it being a 6 string. Every few years I try another 6er only to remind myself, "what are you doing dude, you're a 5 string guy"
With that said, what I'd like to do is trade this towards a Swan 5 stringer, headless or not.
It's a 2023 in mint cond.
I'm in Michigan and would want to keep trades in the US.
I would like to keep trades similar electronic package wise.
Preamp: Mike Pope Flexcore 4 band
Pickup: Lake triple agent (3 pickup tappings)
It's also a 33" scale length

Do you have a sale price?

Last week I bought my first Swan bass... going from a Sire V7 to a Swan Alpha Special... you can really feel the difference in the construction, and the quality of the woods. The neck construction made me fall in love... and the dynamic range the pickups have.
All the tonal possibilities with the different pickup configurations...
I am very happy and with a new child in my hands. Greetings from Argentina.
