Both are excellent pictures, I like the second one best. Great landscape and it's very well composed.

Disco_Gee: Some excellent stuff from you also. The first one is simply unreal, the silhouette and the shadow of the tree really make the picture.

It's been a while since I posted some pics, so here goes:

Skeidararbru. This is the longest bridge in Iceland, it spans 880 meters:

Jökulsárlón. This is the famous glacier lagoon in Iceland where scenes in the James Bond movies "A view to a kill" and "Die another day" were shot.

This is a lake called Frostastaðavatn, it's close to place called Landmannalaugar. The landscape there is unreal:

This is one I took about 2 weeks ago near my house. It was a cold, cold afternoon that day.

That's amazing. Great photo man.

EDIT: Ívar, beautiful as always. I need to visit your neck of the woods one of these days. Maybe right after a trip to Russia. I really like the lake shot... Oh and thanks for comments.

Yeah, closeups of rocks. Thought they looked pretty cool... Especially one with a hole. They were too big to take home (and i was too lazy to rock hunt) so i took a pic.

EDIT: Cerb, very cool, really like #4, 7 and number 2 has a real cool colors.

Agreed.

I don't even mind the bottom part that much, the part that bothers me is between the top picture and the grass on the bottom picture where the mountain with some "stubble" is.

So the top picture gets my vote.

The second picture is much better kserg.

The foreground makes all the difference IMHO.

The first pic is kinda "eh" without it.

The green foreground provides contrast and a splash of color which brings the image to life.

I still don't know what to think about the image. When i first saw it I thought of making it look like a painting (hence the first crop) I kinda like the second one now but it's hard to work with because it was IMO poorly taken. Close to given up on it. hehe. Thanks anyway... Oh here, one more shot i got for you guys.

Ivar's work always makes me happy. I really appreciate his color balance and the fact that he gets such a sense of depth and dimensionality out of a landscape...I struggle a lot with landscapes and not having them come out very FLAT.

Cerb's learned one of the best tricks...the go-to for great looking photos is B&W and sepia. This spring I spent some serious time working with the duo/tri/quad tone feature in photoshop...well worth it...but I want to print B & W and digital just isn't the way.

Soooo...I have nothing new to show...

Because I've sworn off digital for the summer and have been only shooting B&W film and doing my own darkroom work. Wish I could share some of my prints, but no decent scanner right now.

Latty, that's a nice interior, and a great candid. In the first one, I may have tried for just a touch more detail in the shadows/blacks while retaining the contrast you have.
