Yeah man that's old news get with the program!!! Jokes aside, it doesn't sound as good as a Thumb and they're asking 12 grand for a bass that already exists.

Yeah I'm not knocking him at all for getting a deal with Fodera, I just didn't know he switched horses. He was easily the most recognizable or well known Thumb player.

His new signature model probably works great for him, but that bass is just not my cup of tea as the body is just too plain/common looking… and I didn't realize it was going to be $12k, which is ridiculous. Good for him though

I'm still happy to pull my Thumb 5 from the wall and play it when I need that burpy tone

Hey all,

I just clicked "buy" last night on one of the 2021 Streamer LTD Black Korina LX's. LX=bolt on=cheaper version, of course.

Now I'm getting nervous the newer LXs may NOT have the curved body that I'm used to (I have both an '84 and a 2012 LTD 30th Anniversary).

Somebody please tell me the new LXs have curved bodies (i.e., concave on the back)? I always just assumed they did, but now looking at pictures they may be flat, it's hard to tell.

I'm going to cancel if it's flat. :-/

and funny, I have some great stories about a few of his basses that I've come across over the years. From the one he sent to Larry Hartke to the 2 that I played at Gruhn's in Nashville. He was a great Thumb player and loved it that he played fretless and sang as well.

So Andertons just marked them down; and not by a little. And they ship to the U.S.

He's why I bought this and regret ever moving it along. Traded my Gumbi green Kubicki for it in the 90's. Sold it about 12 yrs ago.

Fishbone is an amazing band. I have a vague recollection of Norwood Fisher using Warwicks in the later 90's. Maybe a Corvette? I think he used to use a Peavey early on? Saw them in 92 (?) At UB but can't remember what he was using. Have very fuzzy memories of those days!

Yeah by no means am I butthurt that he switched like many people are. Who cares what he plays? I've seen so many people whining about it. Warwick should've given him a signature. Their problem

Does anyone have a spec on the gap between strings and pickups on streamer stage 2? Or does everyone do it by ear. Mine are Duncan's which may change things. My screws are fairly loose as it's a 91 and I believe they are self adjusting themselves closer to the strings over time... But maybe I'm imagining that. I had a clipping issue which I attributed to the battery, but I replaced it and it was still there. Eventually I adjusted the pickups down quite a bit and it fixed it. I don't ever adjust them so this was kind of a surprise. I think it got progressively worse over time but it was so slow moving my ear adjusted until they couldn't stand it anymore.

Secondly is there a loctite like product to use on wood screws? I work in a metal world so I use loctite as a reference as it's what I'm familiar with. Not something I would use on my bass.

When I got my streamer I was surprised at how high Warwick's recommendations are. Here's what the 2013 Warwick User Manual says:

So right now after tweaking mine to avoid clipping. I am at 2.5mm on the neck and 3.5mm on the bridge pickup with the strings pressed at the highest fret. I am at about 4.5mm without the strings pressed. As it is Christmas I didn't have a ton of time to mess with it. I may raise the bridge pickup a touch if there is an output imbalance.

Any thoughts on the Streamer Teambuilt models with the nickel frets? I've only owned German versions with the bell bronze frets, seems odd they swapped them out… but wondering who has them and if you notice a difference or like them?

That's actually pretty cool, never noticed that in the manual. Mine are set pretty close, essentially functioning like a ramp on my $$ and my Streamer FNA.

I am wondering if my Ducans may have a different tolerance than the MECs
