Hi! i have a warwick five string B.O. I'd like to join the club I was wondering if anyone out there would know how to convert my 2 band active electronics on my warwick B.O. I really want it to be 3 band active electronics like the neck through model has. Help!!!!!!
It depends on what kind of preamp you want. If it's a MEC, which is currently standard on NT Thumbs, you are after, then give Dana B. Goods a call. They are the official dealer in the US. You have to order some new pots as well, so that you can operate all three bands.
When you get the preamp, just have a technician install it! For example, I hear there's this guy Valenti in NYC who's pretty good at such things.
Hello fellow Warwick lovers!
I guess the difference between me and everyone here is that I don't own a Warwick yet, but I REALLY REALLY WANT ONE. Looks is one thing, but the amazing punch and clarity that cuts through the mix esp on the lows AND even the highs is what really gets to me.
That's just a first impression though.
I'm gonna need some professional feedback from you guys who've played Warwicks for years/months/eons. What are the pros/cons?
Also, which model would you guys recommend for an all-rounder? I saw a lot of Thumb BOs and NTs, Dolphins, Streamers, but how about the others?
I'll really appreciate advice!

I'd recommend any of the JazzMan or $$ (double buck) models. They have very versatile EQ:s and pickups.

a one of a kind warwick that I wish I could keep.
A beaut for sure. I've got the 5 string equivalent in nirvana black. It's cool because now the grain is really starting to show through the stain too.
Wow, I really want your 610, but then I would feel the need to buy a Mesa head to go with it...

This is the Streamer LX LTD 2008. Madrone burl over ash body. Dual twin-J PUPs in Madrone burl covers. $$ mini switches, 3-band pre. This thing loks amazing to me. Apparently rocket music (in virginia i think) has the first two of this model availiabe in the US.
After looking closer it looks like it has a surface mount 1/4" jack and two along the edge. how odd
